Times spent in the distance, the planet in a trance, bodies and minds in shock, sensibilities stunned. Between screens and windows, how can we touch, embrace, reach out to others? What is the role of the university and the Letters in this turmoil?

We extend our gaze beyond the academic walls, in order to share knowledge, research, experiences, welcome new perspectives, questions, corpora, silences, sayings and reflections, in multiple spaces and temporalities.

In this spirit, we present the Collection of electronic books produced by the Graduate Program in Letters and Linguistics at UERJ’s School of Teacher Training, São Gonçalo campus, with the participation of teachers and students, in partnership with national and international researchers. Cutting-edge research produced by a young graduate program located in the East of the state of Rio de Janeiro.

We call the collection PPLIN PRESENTE, to mark the presence of the Program as a producer of innovation and knowledge in the areas of Linguistic Studies and Literary Studies, and at the same time to point out the engagement of the research shared here with the demands and challenges of the present time.
